A motorized floor rising projection screen is an elegant and practical solution for modern home theaters, living rooms, meeting rooms, training spaces and commercial AV installations. Unlike traditional wall-mounted or ceiling-mounted projection screens, the floor rising screen is installed in a low-profile cabinet and smoothly rises upward when in use, then retracts completely when not needed. This clean and space-saving design allows the room to maintain a modern appearance without visible screen housing on the wall or ceiling.
For environments with ambient light, a floor rising ALR screen can greatly improve the viewing experience by reducing the washout effect caused by surrounding light. Ambient light rejecting screen materials are designed to reflect the projected image toward the viewer while helping to absorb or redirect unwanted light from other angles. This allows the screen to maintain better contrast, deeper black levels and a clearer image compared with standard white or grey projection materials under normal room lighting conditions.
Floor rising ALR projection screens are especially suitable for rooms where lighting cannot be fully controlled, such as family rooms, apartments, showrooms, conference rooms, classrooms, sports bars and multi-purpose commercial spaces. When paired with an ultra short throw projector, UST ALR or CLR screen materials can reject overhead light more effectively and deliver a bright, high-contrast image from a very short projection distance. For standard throw projectors, Fresnel ALR materials can also provide excellent brightness, contrast and ambient light resistance for larger viewing environments.
With smooth motorized operation, stable lifting structure and multiple fabric options, the motorized floor rising screen offers both visual performance and installation flexibility. It does not require complex wall or ceiling construction, making it ideal for spaces where fixed installation is inconvenient or where a clean interior design is required. Custom sizes, different screen materials and OEM / ODM options are available to support distributors, system integrators and home cinema brands in different markets.
